While we at Backdrop appreciate a great solo adventure, we also know how much fun it is to explore with someone you care about. That’s why we are introducing our first giveaway, Better with Friends, a chance for Backdrop users to win dinner for two at a backdrop in their city.
What exactly is Better with Friends?
Better with Friends is a monthly lottery that’s exclusive to Backdrop users. Once a user buys a ticket — for 150 backdrop points — they stand a chance to win dinner (worth up to $200) at a pre-determined backdrop in their city with a person of their choice.
At the moment, this is only available to users in:
- Lagos
- London
- Los Angeles
- New York
How do you get backdrop points?
From reviewing backdrops to uploading them, there are a bunch of ways to earn backdrop points, but the quickest way is by referring a friend who downloads the app and signs up. For every friend you get to join our community, you earn 50 backdrop points. Here's how to refer a friend:
First, head to your profile by clicking on the last icon on the tab at the bottom
Next, click on the three dots at the top right corner
Click 'Invite friends' and share the invite to another app or copy the link and past somewhere else
If you get three friends to join the app, you earn enough points to buy a ticket, which automatically puts you in the running to win the dinner for two. You can buy a maximum of three tickets per giveaway.
Other ways to earn points include; uploading backdrops (40 points), uploading moments (30 points), and reviewing backdrops (5 points).
How to enter and win
- Download the app
- Create an account
- Start earning points by referring new users
- Once you have 150 points, purchase a ticket on the app
- At the end of the giveaway (i.e. after 30 days), a winner will be chosen at random in each city.
