Sightseeing, group tours, and staycations are some of the most popular ways to pull off any getaway at a minimal cost. While we already covered that, as well as the most budget-friendly destinations in the world, both Queen Bey and SZA have affirmed that it's cuffing season — and everyone’s got a reason to find a big boy go on a baecation.

We figured the rise in living costs might affect vacation plans, but just as we can guess what lover you are on your baecation, we can also find you the best places for a budget-friendly romantic getaway.

Whether you live in or are visiting, here are ten budget baecation spots in the US:

1. Asheville, North Carolina

Known for its lively arts scene and magnificent historic architecture, Asheville is a wonderful place for sightseers and nature lovers — as there are also lots of greenery and mountains. The city is your oyster, and all you need to stake your claim is some change to pay for transportation (though I’d personally take many, many walks in a place like this).

2. Colorado Springs, Colorado

This city, more than six thousand feet in the sky, is an impressive natural beauty, not only for its height but also the landscape. The Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center is an iconic location full of red-sandstone formations and wildlife, all free to experience. Occasional events and a souvenir/gift shop are some other attractions here.

3. Savannah, Georgia

Savannah is known as the Hostess City of The South for its charming hospitality. Undoubtedly, this is the destination for anyone looking to pamper and be pampered. With cute, quiet restaurants, tours with other couples and perfectly instagrammable garden squares, lovebirds can attain the height of excitement without draining their pockets.

4. Cannon Beach, Oregon

Sweeping ocean views under beautifully lit skies make perfect (even one-of-a-kind) backdrops for your “my view, their view” photos. The small coastal city of Cannon Beach gives you that and so much more, sometimes at almost no cost. For example, Haystack Rock and its dramatically gorgeous shoreline are free to visit.

5. Sedona, Arizona

If you and your partner are looking for a short getaway, look no further than Sedona’s trails. A map, some water (and each other, of course), and you're ready for a romantic adventure. Though I find it hard to look away from my lover’s face, the dramatic landscape can be quite the sight; perfect for your pictures and Moments, especially as the sun starts to set.

6. Niagara Falls, New York

One would think that the world's honeymoon capital would threaten their finances, but the Niagara Falls State Park is free to enter and open every day. For me, anywhere I can experience such a glorious display of water is enough of a cheap thrill. However, the park provides much more than the waterfalls for visiting couples, from protected wildlife and gorgeous gardens to trolley rides and guided tours.

7. Sonoma, California

If the lover girl in you can't help but be unleashed after one or two glasses of wine, this historical destination is calling your and your lover’s name. The valley is dubbed one of the world’s most sustainable wine regions, and happy couples of all kinds – their dogs, too – are the poster faces of Sonoma county. The county offers packages and promotions that make extended stay cheaper than a quick visit, meaning it's more beneficial for you and bae to stay and indulge in more wine-induced activities.

8. Puerto Rico

As an unincorporated territory, this is truly an escape spot, especially for those who already stay in the United States or visit regularly. (The fact that US citizens don't even need a visa is one of many ways it can save you money.) Puerto Rico is known for its colourful architecture/lifestyle and pristine beaches like most other Caribbean Islands. It is an exciting place to fall in love or rekindle old flames.

9. The Finger Lakes, New York

Getting here at all is an adventure to revel in. If you’ve always wanted to go on a road trip, then this is as worthwhile as destinations get. And even after you get to the Finger Lakes, there are pocket-friendly coffee shops and bakeries to put the cute in cute date, as well as pubs and taverns if that's what you and your partner prefer. If you're staying a while, you can try other activities like kayaking, skiing, visiting museums and much more.

10. Glacier National Park, Montana

As the planet warms, many fear that this crown of the continent might not remain so spectacular for so long, but this means it's not as crowded as it used to be. Free shuttles still operate, and backpacking is still highly enjoyable. The National Park Service indicates that schedules and programs for visitors are more flexible to accommodate the changing landscape conditions.
